With over 50 years of vital ministry and service to the community,
Windsor Hills United Methodist Church continues to expand far beyond its
original vision.
God has blessed our Church with a compassionate spirit that knows few
limits when it comes to reaching out to one another and to our world.
New to First Sunday Night!
Maybe you’ve been waiting for a special invitation…. or perhaps a gentle
nudge from the Lord - to attend a First Sunday Night experience. Well,
here it is…
You are cordially invited to experience a relaxed, fun, uplifting
evening
of fellowship on the hill at the corner of Mud Lick and Windsor Road in
Windsor Hall the First Sunday of every month.
Each evening the following menu is prayerfully prepared and served up
to provide a variety of entrées to nourish your body, mind and spirit:
5:00 Covered Dish Dinner with friends and family
5:30 Uplifting, inspiring live praise music
6:00 Engaging small group dialogue led by youth and adults
6:45 Gathering in the Sanctuary for directed prayer and family
communion
7:00 Closing with warm parting hugs and blessings
We are very happy to have a few rather recent additions to the Band: Tim
Frame (bass guitar) and newest member of our church family, Don Witt
(lead vocalist) on loan from Gideon’s Call is to make his début this
month, and Steve Stutsman (keyboard & lead vocalist) “the lively one of
the bunch” joined the Praise Band last Fall.
The original members of our Praise Band continue to participate: Anthony
Cash (guitar/mandolin & back-up vocalist), J. Fred Eaton (guitar &
back-up vocalist) and Rev. Tom Lee (Guitar & lead vocalist)
New members and occasional participants are always welcome to join the
Praise Band!
Guests from the local area are invited to share their talents from time
to time.
Praising God through music together opens hearts, lifts spirits and
soothes weary souls. Some may consider contemporary Christian music
shallow and repetitive. Interestingly, the lyricists and composers of
some of our favorite old hymns today were looked down on with the same
scorn in their day. Whatever our personal taste in church music, no one
can deny that it is a major tool God is using today to reach and
minister to the hearts of people all around the word who are seeking a
deeper connection with Him.
Our Praise band is pleased to provide a blended mix of traditional,
gospel and contemporary music so everyone can be right at home singing
along. Song suggestions are welcome!
See you this Sunday night on the hill!
