WHUMC offers spiritually nourishing intergenerational
programs for the growth of the individual, the Church and the community.
We recognize the family unit as a vital part of our overall ministry. We
want to effectively minister not only to children, youth, adults, and
older adults, but to the entire family unit. That family may be a family
of five or one. We strive to find God in all aspects of our lives. WHUMC
ministers not only to the traditional family unit, but also to the
all-inclusive spiritual family.
Family Ministries organizes many fun and enriching events for people of
all ages to spend time together in a spiritual and joyful way.
Some of our events include: Pre-Lenten “Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper”,
“Bunny Brunch” on Palm Sunday, “Ladies High Tea and Trunk Show” with the
“newest fun look in fashion” for all ladies and their daughters and
granddaughters, “Family Pot Luck Supper” at Garst Mill Park, the annual
“Picnic/Block Party/Pig Roast”, Celebration of All Saints Day and an
amazing “Night in Bethlehem”. All of these events are planned and are
implemented with the help of other groups in our Church.
