United Methodist Men

“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” ~ Acts 20:35

Meetings:

United Methodist Men (UMM) of WHUMC is a chartered organization within our Church that provides an opportunity for fellowship and inspirational programs for all men of the Church. We meet the first Monday evening of each month from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at The Great 611 Steak House at 3930 Franklin Rd. The meeting includes dinner, a devotional message, and a prayer followed by an outstanding and informative speaker. The United Methodist Men normally meet at 6:00 PM at the Great 611 Steakhouse.

UMM service projects include Christmas caroling at an adult home, landscaping work at the Church, and assistance to Church members with minor home repairs.

UMM meetings are not restricted to members of WHUMC as several men from other churches attend our monthly meetings. Men of all ages are welcome.

For more information or a ride please contact Ken Briggs at 540-342-7000, Ira Chaffin at 540-389-4594, Jim Crowgey at 540-774-2520 or the Church Office at 540-774-4730.

United Methodist Women - Mary Martha Circle

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s Grace in its various forms.” a~ 1 Peter 4:10

We are a community of Christian Women who nurture each other in times of need and rejoice with each other in times of gladness. We extend the nurturing to include our entire church family and our community. Our monthly meetings consist of prayer concerns and praises, a devotional, a fun and informative program, a short business session, fellowship, refreshments and a monthly mission or outreach project.
